I cannot tell you how happy I was to hear the news about the lifting of the lockdown. It will still be a while before we can fully enjoy freedom, but I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I know that lots of you missed the opportunity for a maternity photoshoot but hopefully you can now start planning a newborn photoshoot when your baby is born.
Newborn photo sessions are one of my favourites. There is nothing better than seeing those tiny toes and button noses. A newborn baby brings so much joy to parents. You are fully in love with that tiny little human which was growing inside you for 9 months. I remember when I had my two girls, I couldn’t stop looking at them once they were born. Everything was so new about them, so gentle and delicate.
The newborn photographs of my girls are probably the most treasured in our household. Kids grow so fast so having memories of them as newborn babies is a gift to us. It’s the best keepsake there is! When I speak to my clients they also cannot wait for the session and it makes me so happy that I can capture those beautiful moments for them.
What’s great about the newborn photoshoot is that it is usually arranged prior to your baby being born, meaning that everything is ready once the baby is with you. I take you through the whole process of the newborn photoshoot, so that you don’t need to worry about anything. I send you a client welcome guide, questionnaire and give you tips on what to wear during your newborn baby photoshoot.
My newborn photo sessions are very relaxed and take place in your own home where you feel the most comfortable. I usually work in the client bedroom, nursery and living room and search for the best available light. If your house is small and you think it’s too dark, please don’t worry! I have shot before in very small spaces and there is no such thing as a house that is too too dark for me 😊
Currently, I am based in Basingstoke, Hampshire but I can travel to your home if you live further away. I am looking forward to meeting new babies this year and capturing the beautiful love you have for them.
