Every time I drive to a client’s home or a specific location I feel very excited. Do you know why? It’s because I can’t wait to listen to your story. This time I travelled to Aldershot in Hampshire to meet up with Iza & Piotr. We planned their maternity session quite early on and I was excited to finally meet them and take maternity photographs.
They welcomed me so warmly and their little pug called Lady was just great. She was very friendly and loved lots of stroking 🙂
I usually begin my session with a casual chat to make sure we get rid of any initial nerves. I talk to my client about how the session will work and what rooms I am planning to use. In that way, clients know what to expect and it helps them be prepared and know what’s expected from them.
Once the first chat is over and we know how the session will work I began my work. During the session, I ask many questions about a couple or families and this is so enjoyable. I love learning about how the couple met, what are their hobbies and funny stories from their life they never forget.
Iza and Piotr met 10 years ago at work. I cannot tell you how much love I saw during our maternity photo session. They love each other so dearly and I think they will be amazing parents. They both have a passion for the mountains and one of their favourite place to visit is Kroscienko. It is a small village in the South of Poland. When they told me this I was taken back to this wonderful place. I come from not far away and have visited Kroscienko multiple times as a child. We talk about the mountains, Dunajec river and ice cream! In Kroscienko they do sell the best ice cream ever! I felt like I was back in Poland.
A couple of years ago they got their pug and she has been a very important member of their family. They love going together for walks and I am sure this will continue when the baby comes into the world. Our session was really fun. We laughed a lot and I loved the way Iza and Piotr were looking at each other. Soon they will welcome a beautiful baby girl, which I am sure will be the centre of attention.
This was a beautiful, gentle and full of love session and I cannot wait to see them again when their baby girl is going to be in this world.
