When I was expecting my first daughter I wanted to be ready with everything. For the first time, I have heard the word “nesting” used too. I was 100% nesting. I wanted to make sure everything was ready for the baby;s arrival. We prepared her nursery, decided on the colour scheme and the only thing left was her arrival. I did not have a maternity photo shoot with my first pregnancy and it was probably one of the things that I regret most. Thankfully with my second pregnancy I have a lot of images and they are so special to me and my family.
When I meet my clients I am so happy to see expecting mums. They are glowing with happiness and look so so pretty. It is lovely to see when they talk to their bump and touch the bump with their hands. I also love to see how expecting dads are interacting with their baby bump. It is great to see when they place their hands on the bump and are affectionate towards mum. Last year I met some lovely expecting parents. Some clients were returning with their older children and had a second maternity photo session which was great. Today I am sharing with you some of my favourite maternity photographs of 2021.
