The other day I read on my friend’s Facebook post a quote “We are not in the same boat”. I was intrigued, so I continued to read. It was a poem written by an unknown author about how we all are experiencing COVID-19. We are all going through the same storm however each of us is in a different boat. I could not agree more with this statement. Coronavirus has hit us all and everyone is doing their best to get through this difficult time.
In our household, we have been taking it day by day. Sometimes I feel days are flying by, whilst others can drag incredibly slow. Do you feel the same way? I am working during day time and looking after girls as much as I can to keep them occupied and not bored. I am glad they are still quite young and don’t have school work as I would find it tough to cope with home schooling and work. I think it would be an add additional pressure. If you are the parent who reads this and has to split the day with work and proper school work then I salute you. YOU are doing great!
Sisters
My girls are at home with me and Mike all the time and although this is not out of choice I have noticed how close Sophie and Hanna have become. They were close before but not like this. Now they only have each other to play with and they just make the best out of it. Of course, we have fights and tears, but we also have many hugs and giggles. The below movie I have created of the two will be in my heart forever.
I hope you are managing during this difficult period. As the quote said, many of us will not be in the same boat, but we also share the same difficulties of adjusting to life during this pandemic. Whether you have kids at home, are having to home school, are expecting your first child soon or living by yourself make sure you reach out to your network of family and friends to help get us through this time. And remember, it won’t last forever!
Till next time
