It’s been a long time since I have done a family photo session at the beach. My first beach session was in Kent a couple of years ago. I was dreaming of finding a suitable location closer to Basingstoke for another shoot. It took a couple of family trips down to the coast to find something suitable. It was important for me to find something that has sand and not only pebbles. I also wanted to find sand dunes as they work beautifully with a family session.
After my research, I managed to find a location that is only an hour distance from where we are. I messaged my client and she was happy with the choice as well. They live in Somerset therefore the distance for both of us was key!
We had to reschedule the session a couple of times because of the weather and family emergency. When we finally met the weather was dry albeit cold so I had to work fast. It reminded me of our second session last year with this family. We met in Salisbury and our session lasted about 25 minutes. We were lucky in between showers. I think I am getting a pro in short sessions with this family!
Claudia and her family looked lovely and it was great to see little Lorenzo walking. He has changed so much since I saw him last year and starting to look like a proper boy and not a baby anymore. We had fun running around, giggling and of course, Lorenzo loved tickles.
I genuinely feel so privileged when I can photograph returning families. It makes me appreciate what I do and making me want more and more.
If you would like a family photo session at the beach or in the fields please get in touch. I would love to be your photographer.
Till next time
