Can you believe it’s already September? I don’t know about you but for me, this year has been flying by! It feels only like yesterday I saw trees in bloom. Today I see yellow leaves falling from the trees. I love Autumn but I would like to see a few more sunshine and warm evenings.
My recent maternity photo session took place during a lovely warm summer evening in a beautiful location just outside Hook, Hampshire. Natasha and her family were all looking gorgeous. I loved that her girls had matching dresses and both had beautiful double ponytails. Natasha herself wore a beautiful red dress with white flowers. Her husband was wearing a smart shirt and jeans.
I enjoy maternity photo sessions where I can photograph the expecting mum and her older children too. I like to ask siblings about the baby in mommy’s tummy. It is so sweet to see when they place their hands on the bump and sweetly says “there is a baby inside”.
Both girls did great during our session. We did walking on the log, running through the blanket and lots of cuddles.
Of course, I wanted to take images of Natasha only and her lovely bump. The location for the maternity photo session was just great. We had the sun shining and I loved how the light was gently falling on Natasha creating a lovely warm feeling to the images.
During the maternity photo session, I always take time to take images of the expecting mum and her partner. Before the session, they both said they are a little shy. I, therefore, wanted to make sure the images of both of them are relaxed and not posed. I gave them a couple of prompts and straight away saw a lot of beautiful smiles and wonderful connection. They looked beautiful together and I loved the way they were looking at each other and smiling.
Maternity photo sessions can truly be special and this session was definitely one to remember. If you are expecting a baby and would like to book a maternity photo session do get in touch!
