I loved everything about this maternity photo session and it certainly deserves a spotlight! Grace and Chris are a wonderful couple and it was amazing photographing them.
Before each session, I always send a client welcome guide, questionnaire and suggestions on clothing. Grace was super organised and she also sent me her ideas and vision for the photo session. It was important for Grace to feel a connection to mother earth. Grace found this beautiful stream where we could take images of her in the water. As soon she mentioned this to me I was all in and very excited about our shoot.
I also must say that Grace’s and Chris’s replies to the questionnaire were beautiful. The way they described each other was so pure and wonderful to read. They are each other’s rocks and they have a beautiful connection with each other. Grace wrote, “we’re creators and dreamers, we’re adventure seekers and doers. We’re fantastic communicators”.
The minute I met them in person I saw everything they described. I saw happiness, joy, and the beautiful love they have for each other and their baby.
Our photo session began in the woodland area and I enjoyed photographing Grace against the sun. We had these amazing pockets of light which were beautifully shining on Grace and her baby bump.
After the woodland, we headed over to a field with wildflowers and long grass which was just ideal to photograph. Lastly, we went over to a beautiful spot with a shallow river. When we got there I was so happy. The sun was peeking through the trees and it was a perfect spot for the shoot. Grace was standing in the river in her lovely lace dress and I could just feel her energy and the beauty of the moment. It was pure magic and I could feel how much Grace enjoyed looking up, breathing slowly and taking a moment to appreciate the Earth and the beauty it has to offer.
As a photographer, I always dreamt about this kind of maternity photo session. I am so happy Grace and Chris chose me as their photographer. I am so pleased to let you know that I will also be taking their newborn images!
